Tartaric acid in its natural form is found in many fruits, especially
in grapes, but also in apricots, avocados, apples, sunflower seeds and citrus.
The main property of tartaric acid is considered to be its ability to slow down the natural changes that lead to spoilage. As with natural tartaric acid, which is found in fruits, food additive E334 has antioxidant properties and beneficial effect on the digestive and metabolic processes in the body.
Use of tartaric acid:
